There was no snow at all. Larch trees were in season. Weather was perfect. As of September 28, the trail had no snow, and one incredibly small patch of ice near the top that was very easy to avoid.

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of any review calling this an "easy" summit, unless you're a robotic machine.
If you don't have experience climbing up or sliding down loose scree, this isn't the trail for you. At the top is one of the most awe-inspiring views I've seen of Kananaskis, but you're going to have to work for it. There was no consensus on which way up was best because everyone seemed to be taking different routes, but we took the middle trail up that the map shows and the left trail down.
Met a lot of people who had given up before reaching the top. There's nothing technical, but this is absolutely a grind that will test your limits. You won't see exactly what you're going to deal with until the very end, but it's very worth it. The trailhead can be a little hard to find as the brush on either side of it is a little overgrown. I recommend following the loop the way AllTrails suggests - counterclockwise.
No scrambling up to the summit, just steep terrain and about two steps of mild exposure. Following the loop, there are a few scree paths down, make sure you take the one closest to the summit for the descent route. Not the best scree, not the worst scree. Because everyone wants their instagram moment, this trail is very popular, especially the first half. Start early to avoid the crowds and skip the hot springs altogether.
If you really want to go, bring something warm and dry to hike out in. Lots of groups on the mountain who seem inexperienced and were sending rocks down on parties below. Again, start early. Bring poles, snacks, water, helmet, layers. Winter gloves are pretty much a necessity at this point.

No threat at all. This trail had everything Momma grizzly and older cub blocking trail. By the time we got back down to the trailhead, wildlife officers had closed the trail due to the bears in area. Trail is dry today but could be slippery when wet.
Trail is indicated well with blue markers. Great views all round to and fro the summit. There is a descent section after the chains that could be confusing as I thought I was at the summit. Down climb then up to the summit you go. I did the West Col descend route instead which was in good dry shape with gentle incline. Going down is quick and easy though. Some snowfall but it cleared up luckily.
